Scrying is the term used for a process of meditation, divination, or remote-viewing that is done with the eyes open.  To Scry or Descry means to spy, or discover by the eye objects at a distance.  It is believed that Scrying clears out the consciousness and unlocks the gates to other dimensions.

Scrying is a learned skill.  Everyone can do it, and given enough practice, everyone can do it well.  Practice is the key element.  It is often necessary to practice daily, starting with a short session, and gradually working into longer sessions.

Scrying can be a powerful way of accessing the higher self and the divine energies.  Daily Scrying can teach self-discipline, and bring about a higher vibrational state.  Scrying is suitable to people of all ages, providing a positive outlet for creative energies.

The greatest hindrance to Scrying is tired eyes.  Scrying can excessively strain eyes that are already abused from bright lights and other modern inventions.  Mirrors, crystal balls, and water are the most commonly used Scrying tools.  However, the reflectivity of these objects can cause severe strain to the eyes.

Using smoke as a medium for Scrying is a little known technique that has been used by Initiates for hundreds of years.  It is a technique that can actually be quite soothing to the eyes.  The movement of the rising smoke helps to keep the mind focused, and an altered state of consciousness occurs.

This altered state of awareness allows one to be more open to psychic impressions, and the individual who is Scrying is able to readily access images of the past, present, or future.  Since humans posess the gift of free will, seeing into the future can allow one to shape it according to their highest good.
